For those of you who aren't familiar with this busy young woman, Christine is a wizard with computers! What began 17 years ago with her brother's new top of the line Atari computer has developed into an impressive online business at "InternetWantAds.com". Thanks to that computer; complete with tape drive, a whopping 56K of ram and a 300 baud modem and a connection to what is now the Internet via her uncle's school account, Christine has had a long relationship with communications through the computer.

"InternetWantAds.com" was developed after many years of learning programming languages and obtaining a Masters degree in Electronics. Some of their Internet customers include the Kansas City Chiefs, a few hundred police departments, many churches, some mental health associations, ABS-CBN, plus they provide guestbooks, counters, mail scripts and logging for quite a few Internet servers. Their services and programming tools also include "Auction House", "Factory Outlet", forums, voting booths, rotating banners, "Chat Room", "The Want Ads", and multi-media greeting cards.

The website recently won $3,000. in Microsoft software in their "Activate the Web" programmers contest, against such weighty contenders as "CellularONE" and "Xerox"! For readers who aren't familiar with the contest, "InternetWantAds.com" was chosen for its technical excellence, implementation of ActiveX Technology and overall site design & functionality.

While Christine admits "she hasn't been able to make her computer find Elvis 'yet' ", we want to congratulate her on winning the contest and also on her many accomplishments in the computer industry! It's wonderful to see women excelling in male dominated fields too!
